The Comsicare-Networks server archive

We have an archive with the files for every server we host. We are committed to provide all necessary files that one might need to continue or revive a project that was deprecated by us.

There are of course limits to what we can or want to publish. There are some basic guidelines to what we provide publicly and what we provide only to certain people.

  • Generally, only publicly accessible servers will have their files publicly accessible.
  • In most cases we publish the full server files and not just the world data.
  • In some cases we might not publish the full server files, but will grant access upon a reasonable request. For example if a community member wants to continue or revive a project. In these cases, they are not allowed to publish these files either.

We have setup an archive on our Nextcloud instance for all files.
This archive can be found here: Comsicare-Networks server archive

What can you do with our server files?

The main reason why we release our server files, is so that community members can continue or revive projects.
Guildelines for working with Comsicare-Networks server files:

  • Any part of the exact server files from our archive may not be publicly distributed without purpose and credit, standalone or as part of any other project.
  • Partial or full server files only received upon request may not be distributed under any circumstance.
  • Continuations or revivals of our projects based on files from our archive that are publicly accessible, have to be clearly credited as such and reported to our staff for review.
  • Continuations, revivals or any project that is a non transformative derivative from one of our projects has to abide to our server EULA.

Our stance on community run revival projects

We fully endorse continuation / revival projects by the community as long as they abide to our guidelines.
As mentioned above, such a project can be considered fully endorsed once it has passed review from our staff team. Once a project has passed review, the new owner can choose to add it our global server list.

We would love to run each of our projects forever, but our resources are finite after all. So for us, these community projects are a great way to support the niche that still enjoys a project even after the majority has abandoned it.
We even had a full revival back in our network for projects that were run by the community after it was originally deprecated by us.

So overall, as long as you play along with our rules, we are happy for any community projects.
And thank you so much to every admin in our community that has picked up an old project :hearts:
